Developing client ideas, I design custom pieces to make lasting unique features for homes and workspaces.

I also remove, repair and renovate existing historic windows, replacing broken glass, and old lead.

When doing restoration work, I always reuse as much of the original glass as possible, remaking panels so they continue to enhance their spaces for the future.

I am also very keen to reuse reclaimed stained glass panels which can be resized to fit into a different location, creating a new piece full of character.

Working with other local artists, I can also provide gilding and triple glazing.

I am happy to take on commissions and have enjoyed recent collaborations with other local artists in Hampshire.

Some of the work I have done includes;

  • Victorian stained glass panel renovation,

  • traditional leadwork and copper foil work,

  • fused glass original pieces,

  • repair and restoring glass in reclaimed doors,

  • made and installed leaded windows, and fan lights.

As well as designing or repairing lampshades and smaller art pieces for homes and gardens.

Testimonials

  • We approached Louise to custom make a stained glass insert for our front door - we showed her a picture of the type of design we liked but added and removed a few features to make it our own. She drew it and sent the designs to us for approval. We confirmed with her and the build started. It took approximately four weeks, and when we picked it up, we were delighted with the results. The quality is excellent, and we couldn’t be happier with it. It is a stunning addition to our home.

  • Louise created a beautiful piece of stained glass to go above my Victorian front door. A piece of old sunrise glass that I had in my window broke, and she managed to use the original design and repair it. I’m very pleased with the result.

  • Louise repaired and brought back to life an original stained glass panel in the front door of our Victorian-era house. The panes rattled, as the lead work had become brittle over the years with the final straw being when one of the pieces of glass (a rondel) fell out. Louise was incredibly helpful in explaining clearly what she intended to do. She then carefully removed the panel for repair and installed a temporary cover to secure the door. This was all done very neatly. Likewise, when she returned with the finished panel there was minimal damage to the door surround during the installation.

  • The stained glass panel itself was perfectly re-rendered with brand new leading, each piece cleaned, and a replacement rondel chosen to blend with the colour scheme. Louise also made the supports more discreet, so aesthetically, the panel looks even better than before. We are so happy with the finished panel as it is such a lovely piece and Louise has brought it back to life. It glistens in the sunlight and is now sturdy once again. Every aspect of this project was executed with care and sensitivity. Thank you, Louise!
